Abstract


Objectives: The purpose of present investigation was to develop and evaluate floating drug delivery system of a hepatoprotective drug silymarin.

Methods: The floating tablets of Metoclopramide HCL were prepared by using HPMC K4M, Eudragit RS 100, Guargum polymers. The pre compression and post compression evaluation were performed as per pharmacopoeial standards. The tablets were prepared by direct compression method. Dissolution measurements were carried out in a (USP) dissolution testing apparatus II.
